Important things to know about the weekend!!
- You must provide your own bedding (pillow, sheets, blankets), towels, and toiletries.
- The Margaret Austin Center is a beautiful rustic setting that has made every effort to accommodate everyone. Therefore, please alert us to any mobility issues you may have, so we can provide the best retreat experience for you.
- And…watch your step! Bring proper footwear for the uneven, unpaved setting.
- For your own comfort and relaxation we suggest bringing a flashlight and earplugs for the evenings.
- There is no WiFi service. And cell phone reception may be intermittent.
- The average high temperature is 80° and the average low is 57° for Chappell Hill this time of year. Please dress accordingly. There is a/c and heat in all the buildings.
- Please bring a bottle or two of wine to share for Friday and Saturday night dinner.
- This retreat is fully catered by Austin chef Elizabeth Rojas. The fare will be vegetarian friendly. Please alert us to your dietary preference when you register.
- All participants will be asked to contribute to the weekend by participating in community service chores. (i.e. cleaning, cooperating, cheer).
